The local newspaper, the Austin American-Statesman, calls the Blue Genie Art Bazaar “simply the hippest holiday art fair in town.” So if that’s their story, I’m stickin’ to it.

Step into the Blue Genie Art Bazaar (it’s free) and you’ll be greeted with a friendly face (besides mine)—Santa’s. Pose with the Sheriff for a photo (like I did).

Belly up to the bar for a snack and your drink of choice, and feel free to carry your adult beverage around the show with you while you shop. There are over 200 local-ish artists and craftspeople selling their wares in two huge rooms.
