The Train That’s Not Running by Jann Alexander © 2013
Ah, orange. Even when it’s fading away on an abandoned boxcar in a South Dakota trainyard, it cheers me to see it. That must mean my favorite color is . . . (Do I have to choose?) orange. Turns out it’s full of meaning about my personality, too:
“If Your Favorite Color is Orange . . .
“You are warm, optimistic, extroverted and often flamboyant. You are friendly, good-natured and a generally agreeable person.
“You are assertive and determined rather than aggressive—having a personality color orange means you are more light-hearted and less intense than those who love red.
“You thrive on human social contact and social gatherings, bringing all types together.” —from Judy Scott-Kemmis’ Empower Yourself With Color Psychology
Suddenly I’m feeling empowered! I’m a sucker for orange (in fact, I’m wearing it now) and whether my love of orange is truly a good indicator of my character, or not, I’ll happily accept the description

Hat tip to Ailsa, whose backpack gets around (on Where’s My Backpack?), for the orange motif in her Photo Travel Challenge. Whether they’re orange or not, I’m frequently shooting things from the past. You’ll find more in my Time Travels, HERE.
